The sweetness of figs, the distinctive flavour of walnuts and olive oil in a shortbread biscuit. This Scourtines recipe brings together dried figs (11%), walnuts (19.3%) and olive oil (11%). Enjoy them as an afternoon treat, with coffee or tea, or share them after a meal.

Where does the name “Scourtines” come from? It was inspired by the scourtin, a circular pouch made from plant fibres that was traditionally used in olive mills. Filled with crushed olives, the pouches were stacked and pressed to extract the oil. Our biscuits pay tribute to this craft and to the olive tree, which is central to L’Espérantine de Marseille.
